IELTS Writing Task 2 (Rent or Buy a house)

In some countries, people prefer to rent a house can buy their own house for accommodation. Is renting a house have more benefits or drawbacks than buying a house.

It is often argued that whether masses should purchase a house or live in a rented property. Although they need not pay hefty money at once, abide by landlord rules and regulations of their landlords. In your opinion, living in a rental place has more disadvantages and advantages.

On the one hand, if individuals live in a rented house, they have to pay money in small amounts as compared to buying a new one, where they need to spend a huge sum of money at once, which is not possible for everyone. Besides, small payments do not put any burden on them as well as they can easily shift from one place to another. For example, most Canadian people live in a rental property because they change their jobs quite often, so it is easy for them to shift from one place to another than their own house. Therefore, people prefer to rent a house for their convenience.

On the other hand, when masses reside in their own house, they can live freely without any restrictions as they have their own rules and regulations in it, then living on rent, where tenants have to obey their landlords' rules. Besides, it not only boost their confidence but also an addition to their assets. For instance, many people in India prefer to live in their own home because it increases their esteem and status in society. So, they buy their own house to reside. Hence, it is apparent that purchasing a home gives freedom to people to enjoy their life as they want.

To summarize, masses can live in rental houses without paying a huge sum of money at once. But, according to me, people should live in their own house as gives them the liberty to live with their own rules.
