Many people regard the film as less important art forms than literature and paintings.

Some masses believe that films are less significant than other art forms such as literature and paintings. To what extent do you agree with this statement or disagree with this statement?

Most of the masses believe that other forms of art such as literature and painting more prevalent than the movies. I completely disagree with this notion because cinema has a wide reach to the audience and helps them to remember things easily.

To commence with, films are more important as compared with the other art forms because of maximum people saw it in the cinema hall and television, whereas fewer masses go to the museum to watch paintings and artefacts of history. Besides, it is the biggest source of not only entertainment but also to spread awareness among them. For example, recently Kanah Ji movie was released, and it is based on a true story of brave Marathas. Almost 10 million people watched this movie, but only a few hundred went to libraries to read about it. Therefore, films are more vital to aware people about things.

Moreover, by watching movies people can easily understand the writer's viewpoint or a historical event because fewer efforts are required to learn and remember things for a longer period. However, if masses read any book to gain knowledge, they have to work hard, and it consumes more time to read. For instance, Chaar Sahibzaade is a movie based on the history of Sikhs. The narration of the story and its visual effects helped spectators to learn about their life. Hence, it is apparent that cinema is more significant than other art forms.

To summarise, art is the best way to convey a message and films play a vital role in spreading it to a larger audience.  It also makes easy for people to retain information for a longer time. In my opinion, cinema is more notable than other forms of art due to its reach.
