Essay Structure for writing

Introduction

1. First, write a background statement on the topic.
2. Rephrase the question in your own words. If you are not able to rephrase the given statement then at least write relevant synonyms of keywords.
3. Write a thesis statement. In this, give a brief explanation of what are you going to write in the body paragraphs and also write opinion if asked.

For example:

Statement: The countries should protect and maintain the historical buildings even it is expensive to do so for them. Do you agree or disagree with it?

Before writing an essay, you must read the statement carefully to know what the examiner is asking. Here in this statement, the examiner is asking whether you agree with this statement or not. The sample answer is:

Historical buildings give information about our ancestors, so many people say that the government should spend money to save these monuments. I believe that despite spending money on these buildings, they should invest to boost the economy and improve the infrastructure.

Body paragraph -1

1. Write an opening sentence. You must introduce the point you are going to explain in this paragraph.
2. write your main idea(s).
3. Support the idea by giving two or three reasons.
4. Give a relevant example to support your idea.
5. Write a closing statement linking back to the opening paragraph.

For instance: To commence with, countries should pump this money to increase the growth of the economy instead of wasting it on protecting the monuments. If the economy is strengthened only then more employment opportunities can be created. As a consequence, more people can get work opportunities, and the unemployment rate will reduce. For example, recently India has invested 1 billion dollars to increase its trade with other nations. Consequently, several jobs were created in different sectors. Hence, the economy of the nations would improve, and it benefits their residents.

Furthermore, a network of roads can be created to facilitate the residents and local companies as it would be easy for them to travel and transport things from one point to another. For instance, Dubai has built state-of-the-art hospitals and road networks for its citizens to enhance medical care and transport facilities. Thereby it is apparent that nations should invest money for the betterment of its citizens then maintaining old buildings.

Conclusion

1. Write a background statement sentence to this as discussed or argued or explained (The first line of a conclusion is always rephrasing of a thesis statement).
2. Give your own opinion if asked.

For example: To summarize, monuments teach us about the past, but it is a waste of resources to maintain them. Instead, this money should be spent on enhancing employment opportunities and infrastructure of the countries.
